Director /Co-Director – Marketing

CLASS offers business consulting services in Marketing, Strategy, Human Resources/ Organization, Finance, and IT.
 
We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our volunteer-driven teams.
 
Position Type: Volunteering (All volunteering positions at Class Consulting Group are unpaid). Temporarily remote due to COVID-19.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Assist Marketing Board Chair in developing strategic and operation plans by identifying short term and long-term priorities.
  2. Take responsibility for developing plans, executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy.
  3. Lead and collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute innovation platform pathways, product innovation and renovation.
  4. Use insight and intuition to develop strategic recommendations for the Team Lead of Client Relations.
  5. Research and evaluate - new marketing opportunities, client needs and insights, overall marketing strategy and execution of plans.
  6. Define the creative approach for campaigns to accomplish marketing goal and work closely with the team to deliver campaigns to support the organization growth overseeing the production of advertisements, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands.
  7. Manage content strategy for CLASS Website. Stay current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content ideas.
General Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a deep understanding of the brand and its challenges. Identify holes/trends and opportunities for brand enhancement.
  2. Promote “CLASS" brand to local and online community.
  3. Analyze content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed.
  4. Analyze the effectiveness of all marketing efforts and align appropriate marketing techniques to solve problems.
  5. Successfully apply key marketing concepts (e.g. positioning, problem statements, buyer personas, user personas, segmentation etc.) for development and design.
  6. Ensure effective, branded marketing communications and deliverables including the company website, print communication, and advertising.
 
Requirements:
Education Qualification & Experience
  1. MBA Marketing with 8+ years of prior leadership background.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Management, Sales or Marketing.
  3. Knowledge in marketing/branding & communication for nonprofit is highly preferred.
  4. Min 7 years of prior experience in media, corporate or nonprofit setting with emphasis on web designing, writing, marketing, fundraising, strategic planning, and project management.
  5. Knowledge in marketing/branding & communication for nonprofit is highly preferred.
  6. Must have experience with training, and supervising team members.
  7. Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in marketing including PR, written communication, website development, market research, Microsoft software suite of products, visual communication software products, and creative services.
  8. Expertise in internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record.
  9. Experience with graphic design, photography, and website management. Is highly preferred.
  10. Experience managing external PR and communication with prospective clients is required.

  2. Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company. 
  4. Ability to lead and coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse creative employees in an environment of constant change.
  5. Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution.
  6. Ability to manage meetings and present to internal and external audiences.
Commitment
  1. Minimum 1+ year of commitment for the unpaid / pro-bono position.
  2. Attend Weekly Meetings: Virtual [MS Teams]
  3. Time: Minimum 5 hours per week [excluding meeting time].
